Anyway, you are precisely correct about the Patriot Act. It's roots are firmly planted in the War on Drugs (http://www.theagitator.com/archives/012337.php), which is a complete and utter waste of time and money. We should have roach motels, where users...er...make that LOSERS, can check in but can't check out, unless they can do so under their own power.

In fact, it seems that Liberal Anarchists are an endangered species, committing suicide after writing long books critical of the CIA and the Bush family. Of course, the suicide is debatable...
