While the engine driving most sexual behavior is instinctive physical desire, affection can also overflow into physical intimacy. It's normal to want close touching with those we love, whether or not all of these people are the objects of our ordinary desire. I have, more than once, found myself longing for close friends, even though they were not at first attractive to me. As you move through life, you'll find this happening to you again and again. Sometimes desire leads us to love people; sometimes love leads us to desire people. It's a sign of your growing maturity that you find yourself loving someone for reasons other than their ability to satisfy your physical appetites.

Muffer

Most women would consider you "SAFE" after being castrated, like being with another woman.

I have a male pet dog that tries to hump other male dogs.

Is he Gay?

A-1 has a gay dog?!

I didn't want to know that.

As for the girl crush, you'll get over it.

It happens.

Hell, I almost proposed marriage once - to a woman.

Once.

Trust me, it'll pass.

Cold showers and a lot of hardcore gay porn should "line" it out shortly.

A gay dog? Of course. Only humans seem to be hung up on gender identity and gender orientation. An old thread that discusses some of this area, beginning with gay sheep, can be found at Research on homosexuality (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2039).

Anyone wanting to pursue the subject should start with Joan RoughgardenΒ’s wonderful book EvolutionΒ’s Rainbow (University of California Press, 2004). ItΒ’s academic, scholarly, and clearly written at a level that anyone can understand.

Roughgarden covers the entire animal kingdom, ending with humans. ThereΒ’s a significant error in her section on the Hijra of India, but when I talked with her earlier this month, she had already caught it herself. If I ever get a review of the book done for the Archive, IΒ’ll point out the correction.

I know it happens, but it's insanely funny that it happened to A-1!

Oh the mental images...

Paolo...

Actually, it was our neutered male Cocker Spaniel who was the object of affection. πŸ™‡

Recently, Mr. Amourous, a Schnauser, has been trying to get to the tall female bulldog that we have. He needs elevator paws. Perhaps my Gay dog is having a moment of weakness. πŸ™„

The question is, Paolo, should I try the COLD SHOWERS on him? ❓

Where can I find pornography of male dogs engaged in sexual acts with each other to get his head sorted out? :shakemitk

It is soo hard to teach these old dogs new tricks... 🀷 :shakemitk

Should I take him to see a doggie psychiatrist?

What do you think, Jesus?

For whatever it's worth, an acquaintance who raised purebred schnauzers, said that purebred dogs of that breed, have to be shown how to engage in the sex act. Otherwise, I guess they never get to doing what comes naturally. Don't know if it's a problem with the females not developing periods of erotic interest, or what. Maybe there are other breeds with the same difficulty.

No idea what happens if you start them out with other dogs of the same sex.

O.K....

Which one of you wiseguys trained and then dumped the schnauser in front of my house knowing that Vi would take it in?

c'mon, 'fess up!
