Anyone who has a problem with this simply has a problem.

Yes. Hugs are physical. Hugs are good. Also good and physical is the soft caressing brush of finger tips across my forearm after a housemate has performed that special, and all important early morning kindness: setting another cup of hot joe on my desk.

I beleive I am experiencing the Eunuch calm I used to have a quick and violent temper that would flare up instantly and now I am rarely upset by anything I don't know if this constitutes a calm but for me it is extremely relaxing to not have to worry if I'm gonna kill someone next time I loose it.

Such reactions are not unusual and this is, indeed, a part of the eunuch calm effect. Castration is expected to reduce all kinds of excessive instances of aggression - be it humans or other mammals. Although never exhibiting threatening behavior, I often get comments that I become more polite and restrained after castration. That, and an increased feeling of general well-being (eunuch serenity?) has been a positive shift for me.
