A-1,

Well thanks for the apology. I figured it was something like that. No hard feelings. The only problem with what you suggested is that what we're looking for is more long term numbness. We have played extensively with Ambesol and even EMLA cream. It is very fun, but not long term. We want the numbing to last a few days, or more, not a few hours. Hence the interest in banding.

Thanks,

Hi Joe,

I'm a 28yo guy from Australia. About six months ago I posted my own experience with penis banding on the penectomy bulletin board. If you haven't read it you may find it interesting. I didn't use any aspirin so have no idea of its effect. Feel free to ask me anything about this (can't guarantee any real advice - I'm not an expert, I can only really tell you what happened to me)

Send me a PM if you like and I'll give you my email address as I don't get on here much any more.

Cheers,

Andy

The penis is more delicate then you might imagine. If you continue to band it on a regular basis, you'll do more then numb it, you'll lose it or destroy the sensory nerves. Quite a few mountain bikers have lost their ability to feel and even achieve erections due to the frequent pounding that occurs on the sensory nerves in their penises. Once this happens, it's almost always irreversable. Damage done is damage done. What I'm saying is, eventually, though it might take a few years, you'll lose feeling & function permanently. Meaning no orgasms or erections. I'd suggest refocusing or trying something different. Don't say I didn't warn you. Hash

Agreed. Little by little, anoxic cells lose their functionality. Like when you get a myocardial infarction, the heart is never able to fully recover even if you live through the ordeal since some of the cells have already died. Whenever you starve cells of oxygen there is a chance that a few will not survive. That's ok if we're talking about skin cells or muscle cells since they readily regenerate, but nerve cells have a limited ability to regrow.

Though from what I know the thing with mountain bikers is more on the beating that their perianal areas recieve rather than on their penises. (the part of their penis inside the body, towards the anus)

Mountain bikers mostly will damage the hydrolytics not the sensory nerves. As the mentally of many males erectile disfuction is tied to orgasm. Also the pressor on the perianal area will put you penis to sleep, atleast it did to mine when I went on 100 mile plus road rides. You don't feel your privates for a few hours after the ride.
