I get real upset at times, I know I am a female in a mans world on this site, and on the whole I have been welcomed, of course I have mete the odd male who thinks he rules the world and usually I respect his views.

Recently I introduced a female friend to the chat room on her first night she met one of the rare guys who told her in no uncertain way, females are not welcome here and she should go, this upset her I think it is such a shame to be so bigoted and treat new members in this way.

I must add most people I have mete are great and I have had a lot of laughs here, and through a rather difficult time when my partner was in hospital I received a lot of support from friends hear.

Nomater where you go there will alway be a bully, Idot, Bigot, and/or a ASSHole. You can't let them chase you away, then they win. Have them come back and report the %&$# to a chat room operator if it happens again. There are alot of trolls out there.

Even though I am aware that these things happen here as well as in the rest of the world, I am always disappointed when they happen in a place where we all have a reason to be more accepting than in most of the world. I can only offer my personal sorrow as an apology. As the more elequent posters have said: '' trust the chat ops, they're good people".-- FLO

Would it be possible to put a little "Report Abuse" tab somewhere easy to click on to handle dolts like that idiot? I don't have any patience with twits like that here.

It's called a reputation. Feedback received determines the number of bars under one's name. Then you can use your ignore list to ignore those you don't wish to read.

Does that work in the chat room as well?

I like several of the people I run into at chat, but invariably *every* time I log onto chat and stay on longer than five minutes, someone comes on and PMs me asking me what I'm "into."

Gah! I'm not here looking for a date. I don't want or need a "lover" or someone who wants to snip me as part of some fetish. When it comes to it, I won't do it any other way than medically and professionally. I know its not the same complaint as the original -- and if I saw someone give someone crap like that I'd give them my verbal what-for -- but I wish there were a way to automatically block private messages. They're a bit grating and I'm often on when there's no human moderator on, just the Blah bot. :/

And P.S., is there a document that explains the bars thing? Does a "dark block" like mine indicate negative reputation or something?

re a document that explains the bars thing? Does a "dark block" like mine indicate negative reputation or something?I'm not sure if there is another web site for Vbulletin that would explain things like this, but rest assured your reputaion is in fine standing. Hover your mouse pointer over the small colored blocks under your name/avatar (or anyone else's name) to see what type of reputaion you have. Alternately, you can go to your user control panel to see how many points you have and your reputation as well.

Knights in Shinning Armour 🙏

Wow so many knights in shinning armour rushing to my side, Including Sag on his gallant tractor.

I am honoured to have so many friends, I Have told Joan to contact the administer next time it happens, But I have to be honest I am a guest in this chat room as a female, I know it is basically a mans world in here and all I can say is thanks for putting up with me even if I do have to tell some to go stand in the corner, And in extreme cases I do threaten to smack there bottoms, and I have had many a good laugh there after all I go there to unwind so to speak,

Thanks for the support.

I love you all

Jenny

Jenny, there are all kinds of people in the chat room and ops of all types as well, there are ladys that have come into the chat and a couple are even ops.

Everybody is welcome and the ops will weed out the bad apples.
