Like I said, arousal is the main issue with viagra. All you need to do is get aroused and it will work. I dont have any clinical experience with caverject, (well i dont have any with viagra either, except what i've been taught in seminars and by my profs.) so I have no idea what the reaction is. Based on the principles, it should work though.

Doesn't Viagra work more or less as a side effect of a blood pressure medicine and through a channel involving some nitrogen compound? I don't have more info at present as I don't use it and never will.

I have used Caverject and it really works. Unlike Viagara, it works if you are aroused or not.
The needle that comes with it is so small that it really doesn't hurt much. The slight pain is well worth an erection that lasts up to an hour.

After chemical (or surgical) castration, will Viagra give an erection so I can provide occasional sex for my wife?
I've suffered from low testosterone (Fried testes from the mumps) Viagra worked great but here is the problem. You won't have any desire to use it. Your wife can ask. Dress up in sexy lingerie. Beg. Get mad and you just won't give a shit. Everytime she "talks you into it" you will probably think "Didn't we JUST do this?" If you end up like me it will be a month + between orgasms and your wife will get more and more upset and anger will be her prime reaction to your presence. Be REALLY carefull about the joys of living a hormone free life. If your single? And you don't care about depression like symptoms, anxiety issues, lack of motivation and energy, mental fogs and such? Go for it - if you dare. Otherwise make sure your wife knows what she will get (or not get) Sit down and talk to some experts and ask yourself what your goal really is.

Keep in mind that your is experience is yours, and is not necessarily universal. Many have a very different experience. It does not deny or minimize your experience, and in fact yours is one well documented by SOME men, but by no means all eunuchs. Caution is always essential here, but fear mongering is not what this ought to be about. Counseling - by all means! Considered thought - absolutely! Will people do what they're going to do, anyway? Of course! All we can hope to do is make as much information available as possible, before and after the fact, hopefully along with some strong emotional and other support.

Why is it I always read things like Mr. T's post and think, "Why is it the horny men and horny women never hook up?" I know so many couples where one of them is uninterested, and the other is. But you recommend temporary spouse-swapping and they look at you like you're insane?

Well said and I agree. If anyone thinks I was trying to inspire fear - ouch! Not my idea. "Concern" for the possible effects. I tend to foam at the mouth too much. Humans are too complex to have a one thing fits all solution. And I'll admit my "single" limited experience is not the book on hormones.
As to why don't horny men get together with horny women?? Ha! Thats the POINT of HRT in my case.

I can relate myself to this post. I have taken Viagra several times and it does irritates. It is better to be single and enjoy peaceful life.
