During the first third of this program, the angry urologist, the no-neck psychiatrist, and the guy with the Einstein hair and Freud accent all looked like they stepped right out of "Rocky Horror."
And did it seem disingenous to others that the guy in the last segment decides he really is a transexual after all?
I thought Gelding came across well, even considering the number of close-ups of his bung-hole.
My 2 cents.

Actualy this so called documentary reminded me of the "Faces of Death" serries which fascinated my friends in High Scholl. I think American Eunuch will apeal to the same crowed. Rocky Horror was a much better movie and had better production values to boot. However you've got me wondering if some one will adapt American Eunuch into a Brodway style play. I think it may have some potential after all.

Just a comment about Gelding and the edited post:
I also made the comment earlier that Gelding frightens me. Then again, so does a lovely fellow named Marcel. It should also be known that at first, I thought Bboy to be a very odd duck and I was afraid of him as well. Things change. I was frightened to death of Talula for several years, in fact. Something he loves to remind me of!
I would not say that what was edited is really true. Gelding is more than welcome here to express his views. We want everyone to be welcome here, except for the producers of that travesty called a film. As Andrew says, nice matters - but not the film makers. Obviously, given the nature of the film, he (Gelding) IS a victim of editing for the sake of sensationalism. If you listen to his comments, it's obvious that they cut out a lot of what he said.

Oops, sorry, krister. I have no personal beef with Gelding at all - I thought, from talking to folks in chat, that that was the concensus. My bad, and many apologies.
Anyway, I still think he's hot.

Saw the movie last night at a small public screening.
One of the film makers was there, I believe it was Franco Sacci.
The comment above that rang truest for me was that it was like one of those old "Faces of Death" movies. For exploitation film fans, it's good to remember that this whole genre was started by some Italians with a film called "Mondo Cane". I don't want to sound like I'm bigoted against Italians, but they do seem to find America to be a pretty weird and amusing place.
I asked Sacci on the way out the door if there was a eunuch community in Italy, and the idea hadn't even occurred to him to investigate.
Apparently the big motivation for the movie was an article in GQ. I guess they figured that that made it a likely money maker for them. Personally I hope they both die homeless, starving and alone. Such should always be the penalty paid by those who exploit the struggles and suffering of others for monetary gain.
