Between the two of you there’s more than enough literary skill to produce Genesis 38:9.5 - the part that was left out by a Medieval scribe - in proper King James style. I suspect we all know a Fundamentalist or two who might be convinced that it’s part of the original text. They all know that the KJV is the true and authentic word of God and that it is the most important book ever written. They just have never actually gotten around to reading it. I had students who had to ask their pastor about some of the quotations I used in class. They were even accurate, though the students were very upset by what “God” had said.

Yes, it always freaks christians out to learn that there is actually nothing in the bible to back up the dogma of their religions and what they are taught to believe is directly in opposition to what jesus taught. Liek Christian family values. From a leader who never married, traveled around with 12 men whom he insisted leave tehir gfamilies and jobs to follow him, and who, every chance he got, denied his family. And the Christian work ethic from a teacher who said, look at the birds and flowers -- they don't work and God provvides for them all their needs. And monogamy. All the Patriarchs had many wives. And sexual fidelity, when men were supposed to fuck their dead brother's wife to make children in hnis name. And there were temple prostitutes in Israel of both sexes.

And hoimosexuality, when King David mourned Jonathan and said his love was more poleasing to him than the love of a woman.

And fairness? well, we can go on and on.

The tragedy is that these religoous superstitions from teh Dark Ages are now in the progress of wiping out intelligence, science and knowledge here because of the current paarty in power kissing up to these idiots.

Perhaps Onan was Gay. I mean, maybe girls were not his thing. Of course, I understand that it might not have been that way.

But things were different in the Old Testament. For example...King David decided that he wanted Bathsheba (sp?) when he saw her bathing and so he sent he husband, Uriah the Hittite, out to battle with instructions for his men to fall back from him and to let the enemy kill him. Now, David had 250 wives and 300 concubines. (I once knew a farmer that farmed 2000 acres with just one concubine, but it had 2 heads, a grain head and a corn head.)

We do not know if Bathsheba had corn rows on her head but it is almost a certainty that she was black. I thinkk that she was probably more like Grace Slick than Halle Berry, but that's my opinion. Maybe king David wanted a change of luck, who knows, but she sure didn't bring a lot of luck to Uriah the Hittite. At any rate maybe she had corn rows in her hair or not, it does not matter. The story goes on...

Their first child died. Supposedly, as the story goes, because of God's vengance. If, as a group, Gays, BIs, or even str8's want to be better than the "Barbarians" at the gate, with all of their screaming and waving of arms, shaking of the pitchforks and burning troches, we must learn to let them vent.

Likewise, it is not your sexual preference that matters, but how you treat men, women and humanity in general.

Personally, I admire what the Gays have accomplished in the last 22 years or so with the HIV/AIDS Pandemic, and if more societal sub-groups behaved in such a manner as that community in our society has, the world would be a much better place for us all...

PS: It wasn't David who had 300 wives and 250 concubines, it was his son Solomon -- you know, the one who had the dry cleaning place. He was the son of Bathsheba. To my knowledge David only married Mikal, Saul's daughter, and bathsheba, Uriah's widow. He might have married Jonathan, Saul's son, but they didn't have gay marriages back then either. When he was an old man and had body temperature problems, they brought in a teenage girl to share his bed and keep him warm. Try that today and see how long you spend in jail.

Also, A-1, more errors in biblical knowledge -- it was not Bathsheba who was "almost certainly black," it was the Queen of Sheba and she was with Solomon, not David. Man, it's like untanlging a garden hose with your mistakes. At least you got the corn rows right. They did use that style in Ancient Egypt and probably in Ethiopia.

And why does Hillary CLinton keep popping up in these unrelated discussions? Why are you so scared of her? Can't hack a woman President? And when did she even declare her intentions?
