The scrollbar problem is with this thread specificaly and is not so much a scroll bar bug as a smilie bug. Take a look at the smilie test posts above where it displays the URL to the smilie instead of showing the smilie inline.
There are a couple of huge URLS back to back with no space, and it (the software) doesn't want to break/wrap the urls.
I think the smilie thing IS a bug, but am heading over to test it on the vBulletin support boards.

I too have a huge scroll bar at 1280x1024 res. I didn't notice it when I was browsing last night.

It must be this thread that is causing the scroll/word wrap problem. So far I haven't noticed in any other thread. I guess I wasn't paying too much attention to it. Sorry about that.
