Just to add a different slant...

It was my libido that would have wrecked my marriage if I had not done something about it. My wife's libido wasn't that great, even at the best of times. After a bout with cancer, losing a breast, uterus and all hormones, it went negative, while mine was still in the 18-year-old range.

Obviously she understood the problem as well as I did, but still she was very much against my castration. Had it not been for the pains I started to get, I don't think she would have agreed.

River, if it looks as if you and your ex can get together, GO FOR IT!!! I never thought I would say this, but a good relationship as "best friends" or soul mates or whatever you want to call it beats the hell out of a hot sexual relationship any day of the week!

I am not sure I want to live with my ex again but we sure are spending a lot of time together. What is also strange is in that we have been separated for 12 years or so and we find ourselves saying or thinking the same things at the same time. ... and in general just had fun being together.

Maybe you are meant to be together. Take it one step at a time. Does she know about your castration? If so, what are her opinions of it?

After I was castrated and in and out of the hospital two times I told my ex-wife that I had been castrated and to pass it on to the kids.

So, Yes my ex knows, my step-daughter and her husband, my four sons and there partners and my ex mother-in-law. They are all ok with it as am I.

Charlieje the same happened to my wife and her libido realey went down hill after brest cancer and hormone treatments and my libido was always getting me in trouble. But since i have been on depo provera am a more carring person and i show her more love than i ever could befor.Now my wife is my best friend and we share our love and effection with each other.Charlieje i hope your wife is allrite and she is cancer free thanks for your post.
