Hello to all,

I wanted to give everyone an update now that it's been 6 days post-op from my hernia surgery. I was at the surgeon's office today for a follow up. It was fairly uneventful. He removed the surgical tape (no stitches or staples), cleaned the wound, then redressed it again. The insicion is about 3 1/2 inches long that goes verticaly on the left side of the navel. He was very pleased about the way it's healing. I was told some of the details of the surgery, it was not complicated, no adhesions and no screening was used in repairing the hernia. There was in fact, a bit of fat that was removed (this could have been the cyst I was worried about). I still hurt a lot, but feeling a little better each day. Most of my day is spent resting, watching some TV or a movie and in the evenings, chatting with my friends here on the Archive chat room.

(I hope I don't get too bored or maybe even worse, getting used to relaxing over the next few weeks from work):D

I'll let you know if there is any change, but it looks like it's going to be a smooth recovery.
