Of course, if you didn't take hormones after, I doubt Ranger would be upset very long.

To Losethem's point, if you remove his friends, Ranger won't be in a position to protest or have much of an opinion about anything after about 6 weeks or so.

Also, you don't necessarily need to remove his buddies to get him, and them, to rest easy. A nice shot of some decent androgens would take some of the zippity outta your do-dah.
