You are right, you are so RIGHT. So now I am sorry that I ever suggested that "law enforcement agencies" should do their job, they ALWAYS fuck things up whenever they do anything. I was just frustrated that they will spend all their time in their "war on crime" or "war on drugs" or whatever, and they are NOT doing anything for the real people. Stopping spammers and scammers would really be great, but you are absolutely right that we should NOT try to get the government involved in any way.

Once I get the 8 billion dollars in gold from my Nigerian bank contact, I will be sure to donate generously... first to the EA, then I will form my own private internet security firm that will hunt down scammers... It will be any day now, I have already sent them the $50 k for the special transfer fees....

I've seen a few instances of people countering the spammer's (mostly those running "dead Nigerian" scams) by stringing them along by acting like they are about to do what the spammer wants but having some extra things the spammer needs to do.... Many are quite amusing. I haven't tried it, as I don't feel that creative, but it seems like it could be fun if you are inclined in that direction....

The other option I've heard is the notion of forwarding the spam messages to the inbox of your (un)favorite legislator.... However as FHunter and DeaconBlues point out, that risks getting the government to attempt to 'solve' the problem....

I received a similar or identical email. My wife and I laughed hysterically as we've not had sex since July 17, 2010. The following day I had a bicycle/car collision rendering me paralyzed from the shoulders down, and completely non-functional and not interested.

Sounds almost like me, even to within a few months for the injury date (March 2010 for me).... My GF and I had an active sex life up until I got hurt. I found in rehab that I was no longer usefully functional, but unfortunately was still interested... I'm a para, which helps in other ways but not that one... Wanting to end the frustration is a part of what got me started on this path.
