I also like the fact that on injections it's WAY easier to stockpile vials for party favors or rainy days, I've got 3 unopened ones rn plus a half-full one cause they never run out before the 90 day refills hit. Usually if I stay on injections for a bit the baseline level gets high enough that the end-of-the-week symptoms aren't as bad, but I've been told on blood tests that my levels also end up dangerously high at that point, and pills really don't do much for me so I kinda consider this to be the most viable option at the moment. Plus, E shots are regularly stocked in my dosage at most local pharmacies but nobody's even heard of the patch here.
Interesting - I had no hassles w/ insurance to speak of... They did require a 'prior authorization' but the doctors office took care of that no problem... My doc says she prescribes the patches as her 'default' choice, and thinks the injections are sort of old school / obsolete, but will prescribe them if a patient insists... But then I'm in MA which supposedly is more friendly in gender issues, even if they are the pits in other human rights issues...
I wonder what would happen if you did a smaller injection (50%?) twice a week... More of a pain, but might reduce the end of week symptoms...
