So if you haven't seen changes yet, they're likely to become noticeable to you soon. Best of luck to you; I hope you get what you want and need out of this.

Thanks... It looks like I'm just approaching the start of that 3-6 month window, so if you info is right, it makes sense that I haven't noticed much in the way of changes yet. I may start seeing more because of the increase in the E-patch as well.

I have noticed that the area under my nipples seems to be much harder and 'lumpy' feeling, and sore when I push on it. Sometimes looks like the breast may be a tiny bit bigger, but other times I'm not at all sure. T-shirts still seem to fit OK and look 'male'... Dumb question but is there an easy way to measure?

I feel like a some of the hair in my armpits has gone away, at least I don't notice it as much when I shower. I also seem to be getting some very thin growth in the bare spots on my scalp - mixed feelings about that as the amount of growth isn't enough to look nice, but who knows what will happen next...

So some minor changes but nothing major so far, but it's early yet.

hi wheely, it's exciting to read about your progress. I've decided to proceed with my transitioning (hormones& surgery) SOC8 or no. I am already decided on E and will begin as soon as I am able to get the prescription. as for anti depressants, don't want them. I'll be much happier once all this work is done. 🙂. meanwhile, tracking your progress I find enlightening and somehow calming. glad things seem to be going well.

Hi there,

I haven been on Estradiol and Androcur for over 10 years now.

I was 26 when I transited and it has been a process that phyisically took place rather quickly compared to the mental changes.

Mentally

For instance I never used to think men where partially attractive, that has changed for the years, I started to value the intrinsic value they have to offer like protection, adoration, men can make a (TG)woman feel special.

I got less focussed on the task at hand, especially when driving for some reason, also rushhour driving became very stressful to me that I deside to sell my care and I have been taking public transport for over 7 years now ( which is great in the netherland )

Also the empathy increased, I am much more engaced with the people around me, while it used to be more egocentric.

Also sexually I completely shifted from mostley visual and physicical to a mostly mental experience.

Physically:

I was not that lucky, or at least it wasnt what I hoped for.

I do have a sweet face which became even more softer and my eyebrows seem to be shifting a bit to a more relaxed state.

I only had a A cup after 2 years, which really mismatch with my lenght (181 CM).

I am now 10 years on HRT an I still get morning erection and in general without issue, with I really didnt want, spoken with the endocrinologist and they said it happens some times,

It all to do with genetics unfortunaly

I'm glad that you have achieved great success, and the main thing is that you are happy with yourself!

Welcome to the forums Nikki... Sounds like a slight case of differing desires, since I have no desire to present as anything other than a guy, I've been mildly annoyed by my breasts growing, though (For me) fortunately not enough to show much... I've been on Estradiol patches for a bit over a year and just had an orchie/scrotectomy last month that I'm still healing up from.

Other than the boobs, I haven't experienced a lot of significant physical changes, and the mental ones are fairly subtle, mostly I think I'm a bit more mellow... I still drive a lot, but I find I'm less aggressive and on the highway I've changed from being one of the faster drivers to being one of the slower ones... (Though gas prices are also a factor in that change 😄)

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you haven't gone further with your transition? I have heard that it is supposedly easier to get surgery in the Netherlands than many other places, but I could easily be wrong about that... Of course if you are happy with the way you are, there is no reason to look for changes...

Hi WheelyFixed,

I guess you are refering to SRS.

I always felt out of place as a guy, I hated the Alpha behaviour.

I used to hook up with woman, but I found the sex always overrated, you listen to your fellow man they always had these story on having sex and it seemed like it was an important part of their life. I didnt find it that interesting to be the initiator.

I hated the the male sex drive, that was so animalistic that in some cases took over your rational mind.

These are the main reason for my dysforia and they got fixed with HRT.

I thought about SRS and had a lot of discussion with persons who had it, and I believe that the internet forum stories are usually overrated.

Also my gender therapist was very open in that she had a lot of patience that after HRT not go for SRS, she told me that sexuality is very diverse anyway.

Although after transitioning also had experiences I never had when I was a male.

Like for males my opinion is less importent.

Always underestimated

And the constant stream public attention/intimidation.

Yes, SRS was what I was referring to, as that is what it sounded like you were looking at from your profile and avatar. So I was curious about why you stopped where you did. However it sounds like you are happy where you are at which is a really great reason not to go any further...

I enjoyed sex a lot when I was still able to do it before my injury, but it never ruled my life the way it seems to for a lot of guys, and I never did really understand or want to play a lot of the 'macho games' that seemed to go with it.... I was really frustrated that my body no longer worked like it should after I got hurt (and still am in non-sex related areas) more because it was something I couldn't have, as opposed to actually wanting...

Getting rid of the drive has left me feeling a lot more comfortable, I found that I was more comfortable after getting rid of the drive, and now once I've healed I expect I'll be a lot more physically comfortable with not having to deal w/ sitting on the dangly bits...

I am not sure why you though my avatar had something to do with it.

I saw Mystirion hangout here, so it made me think of Princess Kenny. ( yeah I love southpark aswell )

It seems like there are many areas that overlap, I choose for the female form since I always envy it.

I dont believe I am a textbook trans persoon from whom you can say without double they should have been a girl since early on.

But it started at when I became a teenager I always wished to become a woman.

This of course also has a sexual aspect thinking my self changing by the HRT into a woman, and that was the confusing part, is this just a fetish or autogenophelia or what ever some briljant philsopher came up with.

I told my parents when I was 16 but got riddiculed by it.. So just desided to go on until I was living on my own when I was 26 and desided to go for it.

Your avatar doesn't have anything directly to do with it, other than a lot of folks use one that relates to their goals or status (Mine is an example) so when I saw a female avatar (Have to admit I don't follow cartoons or television any more, so didn't recognize it as more than female) plus your profile, I made a wrong guess...

Definitely a lot of overlap in all these areas, and I think that we probably have a greater tendency for folks that aren't 'Textbook' to end up here. There are plenty of other sites for folks that want to do the full binary transition, but EA seems to be one of the few that are for those of us in the "Mushy Middle" between the two extremes.... We also seem to get a fair number that are doing the transition, and have chosen to be castrated along their path (there are some pretty reasonable medical and economic reasons for having an orchie, especially if SRS is going to be long delayed)

There is increasing evidence that the whole male / female thing is more of a spectrum than the simple either / or choice that we used to think was all that there was. EA seems ready and willing to support folks as much as we can, no matter where they are on that spectrum or help figure out how to get to where they want to be...

From what you say, it sounds like you have reached a point that you are happy with, and that is really good.
