Hi everybody,
lately I was very curious about how it might feel to have no sexual drive and a useless limp cock. So I started taking androcur a week ago starting with 1-0-1 50mg and upped it since a couple days to 1-1-1 50mg. Until now I only noticed that when my cock is erect he doesn't like staying like that very long, as soon as I think of something not arousing he immediately shrinks. A morning hard-on I only had once this week but not as hard as it used to be.
As for side effects I had some shortness of breath in the first days but it got better the last 2-3 days. No sweats so far.
As I'm a very big person (both for height and weight) I'm wondering if 150mg a day is enough to do the trick or if I might need to up it to 2-0-2 50mg to make it kick off better. Any advice on that?
I'm not the most regular forum user but I will really try to keep this updated and might start a blog.

50 mg twice a day is the recommended starting dose. More than that is asking for some complications that you don't want. Big problem is that many folks expect rapid results and are frustrated / disappointed. Give it 7-10 days to start seeing more effective results.

Thanks for the advice. I was more along the thought that some medication does not work right for my size with regular standard patient doses, thus some higher dosage might be needed.

I now only take 50mg a day. I think that the shortness of breath and night sweats have improved as a result.

50 mg/day. That's one pill. I'm thinking about going up to 100 mg/day

Apparently, as with many drugs, the dosage of Androcur is very individual. I reduced to 25mg, which seems to be enough. After about a month almost zero libido and no more erections. I'll try 12.5mg soon.

So today is day 14. I reduced to 1-0-1 50mg since the advice here, but I'm still uncertain about it. I don't see much improvement in the last couple of days. Ok, watching porn still only gets him hard when I think about him getting hard in addition. If he gets hard then almost like normal.
I'm still torn between continuing on with 100mg/day or upping it back to 150mg/day. Like I said I'm a pretty big guy and lots of other medication I needed to take over the years needed to be on the higher side of the allowed dose to work.
What timeframe is to be expected for a stabilized desired effect of castration?

Day 16 now and I feel that it again gets easier for me get hard. Like 5 days ago I really noticed a reduced sexual interest and like I wrote in my last post it needed some work to get erect and jerk off. Now I notice that I begin to get more horny again and I can get to an erection just thinking about it.
So I did some research and for 80% of the study group 100mg/day is enough to achieve and stabilize the desired effect, but for 20% of the study group a dosage of up to 200mg/day is needed. Based on that I opted to raise back to 1-1-1 50mg and see where this takes me.
As I worked in healthcare for the last 14 years I think I can judge the possible side effects and stop when it gets risky.
