If you find yourself bound up in the gut, you could always do the modern version of colonoscopy prep. 64 ounces of Gatorade mixed with 238g of Miralax powder. Drink it in 2 portions. First one whenever, the other a couple hours later. For the record, according to the label, that much Miralax powder should be enough to last a person for 2 weeks, being drunk in about 3 hours.

Be prepared to spend some time on the toilet, because the instant Mt. Poo-suvius erupts, it's gonna take a few hours to stop. You'll have breaks, but be ready to run back to the commode.

That’ll work too. Such a joy.

One thing to bear in mind is the opposite trouble and that is diarrhea. That is some bad stuff and can kill. I once, many years ago, had a horrible time and very nearly died. If not for the emergency prescription I think I would have. I know what caused it and vowed I would not let some unresolved issue fester as it did then.

Fortunately that is relatively rare unless one gets food poisoning or a severe bout of the flu.

Food poisoning is the pits. Thought I was going to die and prayed I would. Got to the hospital, got hooked up to an IV and I was back home in 2.5 hours. Dehydration. But when the vomiting is taking place, no way to keep hydrated.

I try to trust my tastes and feelings more, don't eat everything ... I try not to take risks by resorting to potent drugs, I take medications as little as possible. I hope for the natural strength of my body.

Oh, I prefer other methods too. As I just had the camera run up my ass looking for cancer (routine to do that here in the USA), that's what I had to do. Yes, it's all at once, but dehydration would be easily solved by drinking a lot of water before you do what I said. My point is, it would clear the constipation rather quickly.
