Precisely! On video it is clearly visible: water in a zone of paths mirror, and a zone for diving "foams". Boys are charming!

It was this video

that inspired me to write a story called, Johnny Kaye and the Diving Meet
https://eunuchworld.co/s15032
But all the diving videos I see on You Tube are amazing.

I'm reminded of something that happened about 25 years ago. I was at the Stanford University Book Story and I saw a bunch of people lined up for a book signing. In line was a group of about 20 excited boys ages 9 to 12. All the boys were divers and straight from the pool. I could tell because they were dressed in nothing but Stanford Diving Team hooded bathrobes over their speedos and flip-flops on their feet. I looked to see who they were waiting to meet and it was none other than Greg Louganis who was signing his new autobiography. I went away shaking my head in disbelief. At that time Louganis was out of the closet as gay. This fact didn't seem to matter to his young fans.

I ve heard of grown men splitting open the bottoms of their feet by cliff diving at Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, and Lake Powell. These teens and men in this contest truly are risking very serious injuries from the height they are diving from ! And they are not diving carefully to slice into the water when they hit. It looks like chaos and injuries are likely. A test of manhood all right ! Especially if they split their unprotected scrotums wide open ! None of them appear to be wearing jockstraps or nut cups under their thin swim trunks.
Quit giving them ideas to protect themselves! Foamy the Squirrel was right on this one. QUIT. PROTECTING. STUPID. PEOPLE! (

Thanks to Paolo for pointing me towards this little bushy tailed rat, who happens to make a lot of sense.

One of my first realizations that I was for sure a gay little boy was the back page of an issue of National Geographic.
It was an ad for something, no idea what, but it was a full page color picture of Greg Louganis and a boy my age, around 10, with arms around each other, wearing speedos and pool caps.
I was 10, I didn't really quite full-on masturbate yet, but I probably wore out the ink on that page from staring at it and imagining I was either one of the two, in turn.
I have literally not thought of this since the year it happened until today, seeing you guys talk of Louganis.
I'm feeling almost dissociated right now, seriously. You folks have conjured a memory of early sexuality identity realization from out of nowhere, and even more strangely, I can comfortably and with a feeling of safety actually bring it up and talk about it, too.
(As I proofread this post, I'm struck by another memory; I was obsessed with both their bare feet. I'm pretty sure Greg Louganis is a direct causal link to my mild foot-fetish!)

There is nothing equal to leadership by example, such as Greg Louganis coming out so publically and yet so masculine and athletic. He did inspire other masculine men to come out publically. He helped shatter the old sterotypes that all gay men are feminine, lead sad lives, are submissive, or do poorly in sports ability.
Its no wonder young boy divers, str8, bi, and gay, eagerly lined up to see him at that book signing.
