I'm planning on doing this also after I get the surgery done, so I subscribed to the thread. I hope you get some good answers.

After 26 years "T" free I would say life is good. Yes, you should "I did" mitigate the potential of bone loss with some form of hormone replacement. I happened to had chosen "E" which in itself was not a mistake. I DID however make a huge error in not having medical assistance in my administration of the "E" and overdid it perhaps to the extreme. As a result there was muscle loss, redistribution of body mass and breast development. Those happened over a long time and changed my body to what you see today. Not sure if it made mental changes as we never see ourselves as others do but this guy is pretty much seen as female by society all these years later. Nothing to do to change that so I just go with the flow.

The point being you can mitigate bone loss by small doses of "E" without much other changes to your body and lifestyle. Just take a bit of advice and seek a doctor's care for hormone therapy. You can have a very happy and calm life without that "T" factory between the legs.

First and foremost it's just life. You get up and go to work. You go on vacation. You mow the grass and help around the house. You worry about all those things everyone else worries about. Hopefully you love and are loved in return. Your health concerns are like any other and you take care to remain healthy and fit. Some maintain their libido like I did while others loose interest in sex.

The oft repeated statement on this site is "your mileage may vary".

There are many thousands of Eunuchs worldwide, most chemically castrated as treatment for prostate cancer or other medical reasons. Aside from those voluntarily castrated they either ignore it, accept it or embrace it but all just go on living life.

I took the time to chronicle my own experience on a personal blog to aid those facing medical, or contemplating voluntary, castration. However what I have written is solely my own personal experience and may not apply to others.
