I did since I was a teenager, but it was a result of extreme HOCD, I'm trying to get psychiatric help for it but most psychiatric professionals and institutions won't take Medicaid and the ones that do keep insisting that I'm psychotic and keep prescribing me anti-psychotics which do nothing but agitate my symptoms as well as generally make me feel like shit.

Has anyone else had this desire? I've wanted to take off my cock and balls and leave them in my dresser for as long as I can remember. Sometimes, and this gets more perverse, I wish I could take them off and "loan them out" which also introduces a bit of risk because I don't know what ultimately will happen to them, if I'll get them back and what kind of condition they'll be in when they're returned. But to be real clear I'm really happy to be male and don't actually want to lose my sex. I just like the thought of losing it temporarily and the risk of it becoming permanent.

You've been led down the wrong path. There is no such thing as HOCD. It's a fake term made up by homophobes. Calling it HOCD makes it sound like something that is psychologically wrong with a person and that can be treated.

If a person is gay there is nothing wrong with that. Calling it HOCD simply puts pressure on the gay person to get "help" that is normally in the form of what is termed "reparative therapy". Reparative therapy is used on gay men and women by so-called therapists to cure their HOCD.

The cure for being gay is to learn to love yourself the way God made you. God doesn't make mistakes and if you are gay then you are gay. Don't believe anyone who tells you that you have HOCD. In fact, in many states, reparative therapy is illegal. Be glad that your insurance doesn't cover it.

Hey @TopManFL, good to be seen! I dunno Ranger would be OK going in a cage. I see him stiffening before the cage can be closed, so I guess the only chance would be if we were both sleeping when he was "confined". I definitely don't see him being OK with it for two whole weeks. Day 2 or 3 would he'd be drooling pre like crazy and by day 4 or 5 he would prob have an Incredible Hulk moment and bend some steel.

I assure you that it is very real, and it is the worst form of a more general OCD, I have intrusive thoughts in regards to various aspects of my beliefs, values, and identity, and frequently I do a myriad of compulsive actions(that often involve me turning some device or appliance off and on in a certain sequence or stepping backwards and tapping my foot and/or hand on something twice) to alleviate the anxiety associated with those thoughts. It has completely wrecked my life, it's so bad to the point that, as I've already mentioned, multiple psychiatrists diagnosed me with a psychotic disorder and they approved my application for disability within months of applying. I'm not seeking reparative therapy, I'm looking for treatment that will alleviate my anxiety as well reduce or stop my compulsions and also alleviate the depression that has resulted from the disintegration of my identity. SSRIs used to help to varying degrees but since the beginning of this year they don't work nearly as well and are giving me side effects I hitherto never experienced. I tried twice to have myself admitted to the local mental institution, but they won't take Medicaid. The psychiatrist I'm currently seeing that actually takes Medicaid won't listen to me and insisted on prescribing me anti-psychotics, as did the last of I saw years ago before I became fed up with him.
