There are certain steps, which you can take in order to change your gender (legally). However, you have to go through the courts and often times your requests for changing your name & gender marker will get rejected. A lot of transgender folk here go to the Supreme Court, after several appeals, and waste a lot of money and years of time before they complete the whole process. Our society here is also very patriarchal and macho, so FTM folks have it easier. If you're MTF, a publicly gay (homosexual), gender non-conforming and/or eunuch man, you are considered as a freak of nature.

However, if you have had SRS / GRS and have been living completely and non-mistakably (aka 101% passable) as your desired gender for several years, you may be able to change your gender marker & name in 1-2 years, with only 1-2 appeals, if you are lucky and have a good lawyer. The caveat here is that no doctor in this country will perform the aforementioned surgeries, before you've gone through the courts. So, It's a very convoluted and long process. Our only real option is to save up a lot of money and go to foreign countries to get surgeries.

As such, I've avoiding this route, as I don't have the money yet. The only real steps I've taken are to get my testicles destroyed & removed (still kind of working on the latter part, hence this post and rant) and I've been taking blackmarket hormones, as no endocrinologist wants to prescribe me anything, before I've changed my gender marker.

I have also been considering going to Dr. Arnkoff, but the price he quoted me (2900$) for a unilateral inguinal orchiectomy (to remove all of the testicular tissue & cord, which I have left) is a very a very large sum of money (in this country at least), considering that I would also have to purchase plane tickets from Europe to the USA, renew my passport and get an American Visa.

So yeah, I'm not really sure how I should proceed. I can afford a trip to the USA, but I would be nearly bankrupting myself to remove the tiny bit of testicular tissue, which survived all of the trauma I caused it.

Would it be cheaper to fly to Thailand? Surgeon prices are much cheaper there too. It sounds like you would be better off if you can get it done at any price. Doing nothing sounds like it has already cost you plenty. Good luck with finding relief!

Possibly. Still, from the search I've done, most well-known doctors there seem to charge between 2000-3000$ USD for a simple Orchiectomy. Finding a competent Urologist would be the best option, however, their moral code against removing any part of a function testicle, however small, is quite the setback.

Hell, I couldn't get a surgeon to remove my empty nutsack. Even though the procedure had the funding approved by the govt insurer. The urologists all ganged up on me and said it wasn't necessary and sent me to a pain specialist.

Yeah I tried for a couple of years to get mine removed, even the docs who specialize in penile, scrotum "rejuvenation" wouldn't talk about it. I thought I was finally going to get mine removed, was talking with a pretty well known Plastic Surgeon who kind of specializes in that stuff, sent him pictures and the whole deal.

Now I had told him right up front that I wanted my scrotum removed but I guess he missed it because one day he asked me for an idea of what I wanted done. I told him I wanted it removed, he asked if I was trans and I told him no, he asked why I wanted it removed and I told him I just wanted it gone. I never heard from him again and he would not return my emails.

Now there are guys on this forum who've said that they were able to get Plastic Surgeons to do the procedure, but I'll be damned if I could find one.

He has a bit of a mixed track record here, esp. re inguinal orchiectomy. Just FYI. You can do some site searches to find prior threads on that.

Do your research, which it sounds like you're doing. You get to do this once. For the docs, you're just the next one!

I know that they are out there because I found one that was a 4 hour drive from where I live.

I think gender dysphoria has a tight grip on you and having this last bit still generating testosterone is making you loose focus on the big picture. If you desire gender transition focus on the finishing line. If you have SRS / GRS that pea sized part of you will be in the hospital bin anyway. If your concerned that the weak amount of testosterone its generating is too "male" just remember cis Females have testosterone. I would focus on finding out what a normal level of female estrogen and testosterone is and dial in the right amount of estrogen to get you there. Estrogen alone will crush Testosteron levels so it shouldn't be too difficult.

If you don't have a doctor / endo that deals with transgendered people I urge you to find one. A good Therapist that can advise you would be of great help as well. I understand money is an issue but keep your eyes on the prize and I hope you can find some help.
