Getting rid of T was great in reducing libido but adding estradiol and progesterone are fantastic mood enhancers. Plus there's some good recent evidence that these female hormones promote memory function and protect against brain damage. I was suffering from impaired cognition with low T, but I feel mentally sharper than in many years and I don't think it's placebo. I've always been good with directions but noticed that I was frequently losing track of where I was but no longer. Recalling names has been boosted too. There's still a lot of research needed in optimizing HRT with estradiol and progesterone in women, let alone men so we are left with doing our own research.

Wow that is good to read notsomanly. I do have some memory issues that arose from a closed head wound that I received back in 2002 in a near fatal head on collision. Maybe that will help if I can convince my Md. to switch me over. At any rate I do not want to use T any more in any way.

I've had breasts from working out pectoral muscles then not working out. So probably not gynecomastia exactly. The mucles have atrophied and I have a handfull! Mostly denser fatty muscle. However I started androcur about 1.5 months ago and have noticed increased size with loss of more muscle. Dont mind them at all and kinda look forward to being feminized.

Definitely notice some swelling under my nipples at no T

also second the general advice of “T should be injected often”, if anyone’s gonna use it. I do twice a week/every 3 days on test cyp. Only time I notice anger issues is if I forget a shot (which paradoxically, I find missing a shot makes me unusually horny. Who knows?)

having been on "E" more years of my time breathing this planets air than not I am doubtful that estrogen improves memory. Rather suspect that focusing on taking it (the focus part) is what helps improve memory. Now at 61 I'm beginning to notice that memory isn't quite as good as it was when I was younger. And I agree, I have no use or desire to come remotely near allowing "T" into my body. There are many ways to exercise the mind for memory improvement and focusing on any one thing is one of the best exercises of the mind.

Its good to finally find someone who was taking T the same way as I do..

However now you have stopped I guess I on my own again... sob ...sob..

Although I did have a break from it last year.

I too have to say that it has not been my pleasure to observe that E improves memory. My experience has been the opposite, or rather that E doesn't do anything in regards to memory at all. I think it's just old age. Damn. I have had some "senior moments" these last few years that just boggle the mine. :-\

I was beginning to have more senior moments and to more frequently lose my sense of direction. My mind is definitely sharper and my spatial awareness has also improved vastly. I've heard about some recent research suggesting that the balance between estradiol and progesterone matters. There's also some strong evidence from animal studies that estradiol can repair of brain damage and protect against brain injury. There seems to be a lot to learn about how to maximize the effect. But I have no doubt that I'm much better off. It's not even close. We certainly do vary a lot, but we're pretty much uncontrolled experiments.
