How did you approach PP for hormones? I'm not sure if there are any locations around here to do that, and not sure where to begin.

I had been getting my estradiol via the internet, but heard good things about PP and decided to check them out. I went on the local PP site and they had online appt scheduling. I scheduled an initial appt for transgender hrt (nonbinary falls under the trans umbrella).

The thing is, I identify as nonbinary/genderqueer, and I often present femme, so it wasn't a big thing. If you identify as a cis man, it may not be right for you.

Did the study use bio-identical estradiol or something else? There were some reports of bad side effects for those using substitutes.

I'm a cis male who has been fine with a little breast growth. Otherwise, I haven't changed in appearance. My mind just works far better.

I've been on Estradiol for 6 months, for feminizing, and have had significant breast growth. My next goal is castration.

I am a nullo since 2014, and have been taking Sustanon 250, 1ml every 3 weeks, but after a couple of years my T levels were too high for me. I tried using 1/2 a dose, results were abit better and last year, I tried 6 months without any TRT, Mentality I felt better, however the hot flushes were something else. In the end I went back on TRT and then stopped again, My body wants me to do strange things with T in it.

Went to see my Endocrinologue to see if he would give me Estradiol. He refused but told me to go and see another Endocrinologue who works with trans people. In the meantime he gave me

Catapressan 150mcg tablets to help with the Hot Flushes. 1/2 a tablet in the morning and the other half at night.

https://www.inhousepharmacy.vu/p-108-ca ... 50mcg.aspx

What is stange is when reading the notice I cannot see how it would help with the hot flushes but it does. I am not sure if I will continue taking it, as he said it does nothing for bone health.

So in the long run I will end up going to see the other Endo and request Estradiol.

Could those of you taking it, say what dose you are taking, I do not plan to transition but only want the following.

Stop the Hot Flushes and maintain good bone health.

Thanks for the replies

have a good week-end.

3mg per day, isn't that a bunch?

I'm 6'2" and 250lbs, I started with 2mg per day and loved the effect vs. Testosterone. But after just a couple of months at that dose, I was getting distinct signs of gynecomastia which I would rather avoid. I was told to avoid any Estrogen type drugs for two weeks prior to my sugery as they were worried there might be clot formation issues. Man I felt like shit after two weeks of no Testosterone or Estradiol.

So I ordered some 1mg tablets after my surgery, and finally crossed paths with my PCP guy about what was going on.

I was reluctant to do this as there are a BUNCH of pretty narrow minded medical professionals in this state. He was very understanding and willing to help when I mentioned that I needed an appointment with the lady who is basically the only MD in this State who handles Endocrinology for transgender or gender nonconforming individuals.

Turns out my PCP knows the lady and has been attending conferences regarding the handling of LGBTQ individuals in the local community. He indicated that it was hard to get an appointment with her, usually three months lead time and that she could be hard to deal with, but he would be willing to work with me and an Estradiol HRT regimen if I wanted him to take on that treatment regimen. Not only was he totally accepting of my choices in life, but not the least bit condescending of my choices. I was both shocked and amazed.

I am totally thrilled with this development as I have a really good relationship with my PCP and trying to find another doc to handle the HRT, would be a real pain in the you know where.

So for now, I'm going to start the 1mg per day dosage of Estrofem and setup an appointment with him having blood work in hand, to design a protocol including doses and even brands of Estrogen replacement therapy drugs.

Hope some of that might be of help to you.

That is the amount my Dr recommends for me. I've been on that dosage since my orchi in Feb. Was on 2 mg day before that. He says that that is what is needed to keep osteoporosis at bay. I just had a blood/hormone check this week for my upcoming appointment next week. The level in my blood is 53pg/mL. That level is actually within the normal range for males.

Males transitioning to females are often way above that blood level, usually at least around 200pg/mL.

I am getting a little breast growth, but I don't mind it at all. I haven't noticed anything else changing physically except feelings, being more emotional and my big O's are different.

wishtobe, I take 1 mg of Estrofem once every 4 days and it prevents the hot flashes with no side effects. You can easily buy it online at InHouse Pharmacy (InHousePharmacy.com). It is not terribly expensive and the more bottles you buy the cheaper each bottle is after the 1st one. Hope this helps you out. Let me know if you got online ok with the pharmacy and were able to make the purchase. Good luck.
