Re: Flight of fancy? How would you like to be called Mx ....?
My personal approch at the moment is a liberal one. I don't prevent anyone of using the gender marker, gender label, clothing, descriptors, honorific etc., as long as they let me use mine. Which is partly the case, partly not, at least in Germany. And which is more true for some groups of people than for others. The German language is heavily bigendered, there is no honorific like Mx. and no singular they equivalent. But maybe this discussion belongs somewhere else.

Genau! Perhaps kastranja can give us and the deutsche Sprache the missing word?
I think names are important. They are frequently labels for how we regard or respect others. Inventing a word may be a useful and a kind start?
Then we would not assume something personal about people we meet, instead respect individuality?

My birth certificate and driver's license both designate my sex as "X," and I identify as third gender. Still, I can't bring myself to use "Mx," at least in part because nobody would really know how to pronounce it.

When I'm talking about female clothes perhaps I should have been more precise and said clothes that would usually be consideted impractical such as garters, sockings, g-strings, high heels etc.
Please excuse my poor English, again.

Oh thank you for clearing that up. Having never seen much less worn such things I am relieved that I've not gone too far in my apparel to give a wrong impression. In some ways my hat is off to you as I would never be able to balance myself up on a set of heals. As to the rest, not a clue as to what they are other than socks which aren't male or female. Just something to keep from chafing the feet while wearing shoes

Hi, heels take a bit of practice, especially when walking upstairs. I wear the other stuff because I like dressing that way and my partner gets excited by it.

BINGO! We all need to take care to what excites our partners. And as such I rather suspect your partner gets you excited. Which is the way it's supposed to be. Good for you!
I wear a lot of denim because I love the look and feel of it. Thankfully we all have the opportunity to be the very best we see in ourselves. http://i67.tinypic.com/2mmak90.jpg

Maybe that s why cowboy boots turn on lots of people ? Those heels throwing your body position off from flat shoes. One of my buddies claimed women in extra high heels were trying to look like a horse s leg and hoof. Same shape once heels get extra high. Just a small hoof print touching the ground and leaving tracks more like a horse.

Now that's an interesting twist! Personally I love a well fitting pair of boots. They are so comfortable to walk in. And I prefer boots that go up to my thighs made of the highest quality suede from the belly of the cattle. Nice when they have a soft satin lining. Make no mistake, I pay near a grand for a really good pair of high quality boots from Spain. And never regret the purchase as they last for years and years. Not too sure I would quite equate a great pair of boots to a horse's leg and hoof though. That seems a bit of a stretch. But then again, there have been more than one in my life that called me a bit of a horse's arse. I am just a tad stubborn and opinionated.

How does one buy those good boots? By brand? By store? I have an Aussie friend who turned me onto Ecco shoes. Same thing. Quality blows the competition away. Like buying a Volvo. You pay, but you'd better like it because it is yours for a very, very long time. You'll go thru several cheap shoes in the life of a pair of Ecco shoes.
