I can take or leave Christmas. The 12 days of Christmas just really got to be too much for me.
All those birds! Turtle doves, geese, swans all squawking, fighting and shitting all over the place and those bastards are mean as shit!
Maids a milking, I'm not lactose intolerant but I don't really need that many milk cows. I can buy a gallon at CVS for far cheaper than feeding all those cows those maids are a milking.
Lords a leaping? Seriously, I kicked them out into the back yard. Do you know how much damage Lords leaping inside can cause? Hide the Waterford and Steuben Crystal.
Why are their 12 days of Christmas?
Maybe because there were 12 main gods in both the Greek and Roman religions, 12 inches in a foot, 12 in a dozen, 12 members on a jury, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 months of the year, 12 signs of the Zodiac or 12 Apostles of Jesus?

You can sometimes tell when you are on the outs with someone....no Christmas (or holiday) greeting card come from them. Then it's time to trim your friends list.
This is especially true if they have pissed you off. Life is too short to put up with it.

Way back in Medieval Times when I was conducting research at a junior high school in Japan, there was a major snow fall one night. A herd of boys showed up at school well before classes were to start and constructed two quite anatomically correct snow people -- male and female -- standing next to the main entrance. They then disappeared before teachers started to arrive. I watched the first couple of teachers laugh at them and go on into the school. The principal laughed. The vice-principal (generally hated by students and the other teachers) immediately destroyed them.
