Before this gets out of hand, derryderry's initial post shows lack of knowledge, and the asking of a question.
Not prejudice.
Dekeldoh's response first uses the word "prejudice", in fact, where I see none implied in the initial post.
Dek. later states that nothing personal was meant.
Let's get that clear before this goes any further.
Of course. I love LGBT people. I actually never ever care about anyone's sexual orientation or sexual identity. I live in a conservative country but all my family and including me, we are very pro-lgbt.
I was just wondering. Cause i've just started using androcur. And i thought "since transsexuals remove their testicles and have no T, but they have libido, am i going to have libido too after taking androcur?" That was my concern. I didnt know that estrogen was also responsible for libido

I want to get rid of my sexual desires (my libido). I've started taking 100 mg androcur daily. So there is still risk of not losing my libido right? Its not %100 certain?
the only things in life 100% certain are death and taxes. While we may be able to mitigate many taxes none of us will actually get out of this wonderful game alive.
To be totally honest with you, after getting rid of the offending external male organs I still had libido and sexual desire. That was without taking any form of hormones.
After a year or two I began taking estrogen which did not eliminate libido either. Just made it different. So while you may be castrating yourself with chemicals there is
no certainty that will eliminate desire. The organ above the neck has loads to do with sexual desire and libido.

I think you will be pleased with the results to your libido after 2+ weeks on 100 mg Androcur. I know I was. You might reduce the dosage after the desired results occur.

After I was castrated I soon became impotent, I stopped having spontaneous erections and couldn't get hard enough for penetration. I didn't stop thinking about sex though, I thought about it a lot but in a detached way rather than as a physical imperative. I didn't become sexually active again until I took TRT. I've stopped TRT now and take low dose estrogen instead because I would like to be more feminine. I am quite feminized now and can easily pass for a girl if I want to. That doesn't mean I feel like a girl or want to be one. My gender id is eunuch. My partner is a tgirl, she is castrated and also takes estrogen. We have a very active and imaginative sex life.

The question before the forum seems reasonable enough: do the affected parties involved desire to desire and be desired? I can only repeat the reply which I provided recently on an Asexuality forum: in rebuttal to the assertion by the Fabulous and Talented Pamela Anderson that asexuals are "frightened" of sexual intimacy, I stated that while I tend not to have the time or interest for such an activity, I also particularly frightened of the idea of sex...except, of course, with the silicone-enhanced likes of Pamela Anderson.

They are practically eunuchs and have little to no libido. This is not correct. I was a eunuch before I transitioned and had no libido or sexual desire. Now on low dose estrogen/progesterone I have a libido, albeit much weaker and more passive than when I was an intact male and enjoy sex with my lesbian fiancee and am orgasmic, although that is not paramount in my sex life. My orgasms are way better than before.

" Instead, being an imbecile, I left out the crucial words "am" and "not". "I also" embarrassed as hell for my oversight. Oh the joys of dyslexia...And now, none of the cool kids will want to be my friend...

I have been on and off androcur three times this year. I just stopped again because of unpleasant side effects. One of the pleasant side effects was the lack of libido. Well that's not exactly true. It's hard to explain the feeling, and I have read many others descriptions here and didn't get it until I did it. It's almost a child like feeling. It's still fun to touch, it's still pleasant, I don't get erections unless I really try, but the pleasure isn't really sexual, it's just because it feels nice. Prepubescent boys often have their hands down their pants, not because they are internet on orgasm, but just because it's nice, like getting their head stroked. I lost all desire or need to look at porn, and all desire or need to have sexual physical contact with another human. It's hard to explain, the mental and emotional place I go when castrated, but it's a place I love. I hear ymmv a lot here, and that turns out to be true.

I can only offer my own experience.
I am asexual, and have been for all of my life (although it became completely clear to me only this year). I have never successfully masturbated, and two or three attempts of sexual intercourse as a man with a woman were somewhere between funny, mechanical and awkward. I had a low libido since puberty, and have about none since castration. That did not change when I started taking estrogen four months after the castration, and has not changed since then (18 months now).
I do have crushes, I am definitely not aromantic (I label myself panromantic). This did not change much with castration or hormones, although the desire for a partnership and maybe reciprocated romantic love diminished over the decades (I'm 43).
So, as far as I can draw a conclusion from that: libido does (at least) not only depend on the current level of sexual hormones.
