Not to mention how nice it is to get my balls sucked. So, no Androgel on the scrotum for another reason.

Before androgel increased the strength of the gel in the pump, it was about half as strong and required four pumps (the normal now is either one or two pumps) per day. The package insert showed the shoulders, buttocks, and stomach as correct areas. But the scrotum is way out of bounds.

I have been completely off testosterone now for well over six months. Prior to that my dose was cut in half and yet that had no discernible effect on the blood. So far I've had three blood donations and yet each one is said to only lower the hemoglobin by 3%, so at this rate to get the numbers down to normal (14.7) will take a very long time.

Now the up side for me at least is, once my body adjusted, I really don't feel much different without the testosterone. So I see no benefits in incurring the expense and hassle of the gel as long as I don't have too many negative side effects. I still have energy, still maintain a reasonable sex drive, still get erections and have noticed no cognitive changes.

So therefore my only concern of being basically testosterone free is bone density loss, for which I will start back on a regular exercise regimen once able (I'm still healing from the removal of my scrotum) and take a calcium supplement.

Only 3%?!? Wow. The uro acted like one time would do it. I envy that you adjusted so well. I wander into the high grass without T, even to thoughts of suicide. Afraid I couldn't make it the length of time to even out.

I wonder if naturally high testosterone level men can have this same effect harmlessly ?

I cut my scalp open on a locker room s wall mounted hair dryer years ago. Man did I see stars from hitting that as I was toweling off ! It bled like crazy in the locker room. I noticed my blood coagulated so fast once it hit the floor that it surprised me. Like almost instant blood clotting ! A few stitches closed up that wound with a big scar if I ever go bald there.

Just had a uro check. T was 300, and hemoglobin was 16.6. Uro was fine with this and suggested cautiously raising the T level, aiming at 400-500. Remaining on low-dose aspirin.

We hope to find a T level that will not necessitate periodic bloodletting. I felt OK at 300, though little friend stayed more shy and withdrawn than before, if that's possible.
