That was nearly a show stopper for me. Mine was slightly elevated at 5.6 ug/l but came in good the 2nd time around perhaps it would be worth getting this repeated when you have totally healed up.

If you are unable to go on T for a bit self motivation for me was the key to success during the first few months

Congratulations on your new status I am envious.

Penis shrinkage after castration (chem or physical) is because the penis isn't getting erect and stretching out the spongy tissue inside. The shrinkage would go away as soon as erections returned. But, after a short time with no erections the penis will look smaller when flaccid.

However, if you go on HRT, then the flaccid cock would look larger again.

Don't plan on it.

Being treated for prostate cancer does complicate the HRT. What did the pathology report from the prostatectomy show?

@Topman, other than it being cancerous, a gleason 7 and that he had to take the nerves for erection with the prostatectomy, I don't know much else. Yeah, HRT is off the table when dealing with prostate cancer. I am planning on getting with a dr to get meds for osteoporosis and gynecomastia in about 3 months.

Penis shrinkage is caused by lack of testosterone to produce erections especially during sleep. The ongoing lack of erections will cause the penis to shrink over time. Noticable penis shrinkage for me happened a few months following my castration surgery, and has ended with my circumcised penis now looking as it were uncircumcised. My penis shrunk from about 4 inches to 2 inches flaccid.

Welcome to the club. I hope being a eunuch gives you some peace and comfort in your body.

Though you had it done for medical reasons, is it something you would have sought outside of that?

I am aware of the penis shrinking is due to a lack of erections, however doesn't the elevated estrogen naturally produced by the body have an effect? @Losethem I have been turned on by castration since I was about 12. I have been here frequently over the years.

Well, this is day three. Soreness has diminished greatly. I was surprised, after I was cut, I was able to walk virtually normal. I have been walking a little more each day. It has definitely helped work the soreness out. I have not had any hot flashes, I do take sertraline, generic Zoloft. Supposed to help with hot flashes, somehow. Either way, I am glad that they haven't hit me, at least yet. I don't feel a great deal different, actually. I am happy with my penis reaction. I was not able to achieve erection due to the nerve for hardons was cut but my penis still had blood in it, if you know what I mean. It changed ever so slightly in size and not completely flaccid. Even on day 3, my penis is curiously still. I guess what I notice most, is the lack of movement in between my legs. I caught myself the other night, watching how I sat down due to casually looking out for my balls.

You probably won't notice any effects of lack of testosterone for up to two weeks. There would be no changes this soon after losing your testicles.
