I am castrated at young age. Always tried to avoid the regular use of testosterone not to suppress its natural development by my adrenal glands. I have a lowered testosterone level, but it quite suits me.

Having an orchiectomy would be easy enough when doing the hydroseal. It is mostly pain free if your doctor does a nerve block. The only pain that I had was from the sutures. Since you had prostate cancer and had your prostate removed you have probably been on anti androgens to block your testosterone production. There is not much difference. I had a bilateral orchiectomy and have been on and off testosterone several times over the years. They used to treat prostate cancer with estrogen. Your doctor can prescribe low dose estrogen to prevent hot flashes and night sweats that come after your orchiectomy. This will also give you more energy and prevent depression related to the orchiectomy.
