I don't use alcohol either. Enough of that in the military. I just read, work crossword or wordfind puzzles or work on putting a puzzle together. If that soesn' work, I start working on a quilt---either putting together or quilting it. Doesn't always work, but it helps keep the peace.

Sometimes just closing all the windows and screaming at the top of your lungs for several minutes works.

You know, I think Paolo realized briefly when he knew he should, that the world is not a brotherhood of man.
