You don't band each testicle separately. You band the scrotum above both testicles and let them hand like a little bag below the band. So if you band without a scissors nearby to cut the band, you will cut the blood supply to both testicles at once.

If I was going to band myself and tolerate the pain until the testicles were dead, or sleep drugged up until they were dead, I would get one of the strong bands devices and not the weaker elastic or plastic bands. That way I would be sure that the band would crush the nerves and stop the blood supply.
