That's pretty much the boat I'm in, except my wife is very not kinky, but she still tells me she wants to take my balls and will put needles in them when I ask.
Actually that is fairly kinky. Needle play is usually a sign of willingness to go pretty far with S&M. It means that she's okay with causing pain, okay with causing damage, and not squeamish about blood.
It's kinda sad that a lot of guys experience shaming and pain for expressing a real concern in their lives. Society does seem quite one sided on issues such as castration. For example if a woman expressed that she has serious self-esteem issues that she felt breast surgery would help with then the majority of people would feel supportive, however when a man wishes to no longer have testicles then he's is viewed in a totally different light.
Of course that's not to say women have it easy or anything like that, they are haunted by a whole different set of social stigmas, including castration. I remember reading an article written by a young woman (I think she said she was in her 20's) who was seeking have an operation to have her sterilized. She had a family history of high risk pregnancy and also didn't want to have children. She thought those reasons would be enough to convince a doctor that her decision was the right one, but came up against a huge wall of resistance. The underlying one being that she would "regret" her decision and prehaps even sue the surgeon in the future. It does seem that society's stigma to castration is not limited to men.
There was only one girl I was ever with who I told about the castration fantasy. She took it well and ran with it, but it did have an unusual and not so good effect on our love making. We were fucking and things were going along fine, I wasn't close to cumming. She reached down held my balls and said "If you cum before I do these are coming off." That triggered me into orgasm immediately! Thank goodness it was just play!
True! But it was the first time I realized that the castration fantasy had quite a powerful grip on my libido. Up to then it was just one of many things that could get me turned on in a story.
