Hi, meant to add that you could try long term use of a chastity cage. Experiment with various ones until you find one that is comfortable but tight. Then make it difficult to remove it eg rivet rather than lock and key. When I was 19 life wasn't turning out so well. I got the idea, not of castration, but of moving to Australia and specifically Coober Pedy where I just knew all my issues would go away. Are you saying that it was only physical castration, and not chemical castration, that led to complete eradication of sex drive? And when you experienced only a slight reduction with chemical castration, are you sure that your T levels were at zero?

Hi, I am sure the T levels were not as low whilst on chemical castration. Even with out balls your body still produces some T.The biggest change after physical castration was that fairly quickly I started to get hot flushes . They stopped once I started to use the T gel.

I dont know for sure but the time I was on chem was great and an improvement on previous life. I did not have hot flushes at that stage.Once I was castrated the T level was lower and I started to get hot flushes a sure sign of very low T.Apart from the flushes life was definitely better on the lowest T leve I could achieve.

Castration does not completely eradicate the sex drive, just reduces and modifies it

I can sympathize because I've been distressed by my sex addiction since I was very young. While it is true that the ultimate solution is to embrace your sexuality and forget being ashamed I've found it isn't quite so easy -- our society is specifically designed to shame people who are doing things that pretty much everyone is probably doing.

There is also another factor that I think people should talk about more -- sexuality is based on overcoming aversion to what otherwise is technically a gross thing. I mean that sharing bodily fluids is by all definitions gross. And it should be because it frankly constitutes one of the biggest health hazards that humanity faces. But basically, our sex drive causes us to momentarily suspend our aversion and proceed with sex acts. However, after orgasmic release you regain your senses and realize the grossness of what you just engaged in. As an example, the idea of greedily gulping down cum is technically pretty gross. So is shoving anything up your ass, or sticking your dick into any sort of slimy hole in another person's body. However, us sex addicts can't help but crave those things.

Fetishes then can take this "suspended aversion" even further. There are people that apparently like to eat shit while aroused, people who like to asphyxiate themselves, and at the worst end people that crave sex using force, with children, family members and animals. I'm sure most rapists immediately regret the act after it has happened, but the next time they see a young female jogger running alone they again get a strong compulsion to act on it.

Anyway, my point is that I personally feel that this cycle of craving something that is technically gross (for me it is mostly seeking prostitutes) and then regretting it immediately afterwards creates a very real distress. And I don't think that simple talking it out with therapists can solve it -- it is a primal brain chemical thing.

I would personally recommend taking anti-depressants first. But castration should also be effective. Note that neither will entirely eliminate the urges, but they will take the edge off the desire and allow you a much, much greater chance of living a life in peace.

I had hoped that being a eunuch it would cure my compulsive masturbation.It has reduced the amount of porn I watch but has not reduced the frequency of masturbation.
