Final update for this thread.
I just spent five uncomfortable and embarrassing hours in the hospital, where over a dozen people poked, prodded and examined my genitals, where I wasn't allowed to eat or drink in case surgery would be required (which was a very real possibility), answering lots of embarrassing questions (not entirely truthfully, such as why I did it), and having my testicles and kidneys (apparently they're related somehow) undergo ultrasound scanning, which can also measure blood flow, and lots of waiting around (such as waiting for an hour-and-a-half for a specialist in another hospital to look the scans over)...
The verdict was that this misadventure has resulted in no permanent damage, and so I was finally sent home.

Thank you for the update.
I am glad that this experiment did not end with a large pool of blood and a stopped heart. I will not ask or hope that you not try it again, because I know how powerful these drives can be. I also realize that not everyone has the several thousand dollars to see the friendly doctor near Detroit who's name and web address escape me at the moment. However, I would ask and hope that in the future that you are fully honest with all medical professionals. They want to help you, and they have already seen more than you realize.

Good. Next time be smarter.
I've been there and have successfully completed my changes, and in no scenario did I ever think it was a good idea to do it at my own hand.
Keep looking. Help is out there, just remain confident and don't do any more stupid stuff.
