Hey paring. You are not alone in having a circumcision that ruined your life. I'm one of them too. People really don't seem to understand how it can have such a deep impact upon us. Most circumcised men have a failure of imagination when it comes to foreskin. They simply cannot fathom how their lives would be different, or how their penis would operate if they had a complete set of genitals.
You are absolutely correct that circumcision is a lesser form of castration. It has always been a castration substitute. If today all the circumcised man discovered exactly what they are missing, then by tomorrow every hospital and doctor's office that performs circumcisions would be in flames, and every circumciser would be hiding in caves praying that a deadly drone strike finds them before their victims get their hands on them.
There is some help for those of us who have had to face the actual damage that has been done to us. We can restore our foreskins. That is what I have been doing for about 2 years now. It really make a huge difference. Even though it cannot restore the lost nerve endings, it CAN restore the lost rolling/gliding action of the missing foreskin, and as you develop enough coverage you can dekeratinize the thickened skin to uncover and bring to life nerve endings that were spared from the cutting.
The feeling of the rolling/gliding action of the foreskin is something the cut man simply cannot imagine. It is a complete dimension of sex that is beyond anything he could experience or understand. I myself didn't and couldn't understand it until I was about a year into my restoration process. Prior to that I was restoring just for the cosmetic appeal, which is all I thought it would be. I was VERY VERY wrong. The rolling/gliding action of the foreskin IS the biggest reason to restore. The difference it makes is exponential.
Around here on the Eunuch Archive most people are into cutting things off. They don't want to hear about restoring what was lost. If you want someone to talk to about foreskin restoration, or just the negative effects of circumcision in general, then send me a PM. I'm here for you.
I suspect, like you, many men are here on the EA acting out a sort of repeat of their infant or childhood circumcision. We know that circumcision changes the brain chemistry, brain patterns, and even the pain response in babies and children. We know that children who have been circumcised are 50% more likely to develop Autism Spectrum Disorder than intact children. It is no great leap to say that circumcision trauma also presents itself as a castration ideation. I suspect a great deal of EA members are reliving their circumcision trauma through castration fantasy.
I've been working with anti-circumcision groups and intactivists for about 2 years now. I've studied and written quite a lot on the subject. Like you, I've been suicidal over it.
If you want to talk, I'm here.
