Back to the topic, I watched Star Trek III last night. Despite it not being well received, and a victim of the odd-numbered movie curse, I found it most-gratifying.
All of the Star Trek movies were stand alone movies with the exception of II III and IV. III was necessary to get from II to IV and it was not a bad movie either. Good on its own.
