My experience with a certain women's shelter apparently run by the female abuse victims themselves seems to be along the lines of 1. They hate men. 2. They are scared of men. 3. They cannot interact normally with men.

4. They just don't know when to shut up.

They bring it on themselves and aren't satisfied until they do. Then it becomes all about them, not what they did to bring it on in the first place. Sad but true. Not in favor of it but everybody has a breaking point. I occasionally get calls looking for $ from a local battered women's shelter. I tell them I don't like battered women. I prefer them sautéed.

I'll say this: 99 percent of the time there is abuse in a home, it is the man who is the abuser...There are more women in prison from being abused by men than any other issue. when there is a suicide/homicide...guess who the murderer is, invariably..The guy..I rest my testosterone minimized case...Jackie

Total and complete bullshit. Any reputable study shows in anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 of all abusive relationships, it's the woman who is the abuser.

Another shining example of taking the woman's word for it yesterday. Champion caliber race driver Kurt Busch probably had his career ruined for making the mistake of picking a whack job for a girl friend. I followed the story fairly close and it was clearly a case of "He said-she said" and no one ever testified to seeing any bruises on her. In a cowardly and totally self centered move NASCAR suspended him indefinitely. Chevrolet followed suit and broke off all deals with him. Kurt's not perfect and has had his conflicts with media, car owners and NASCAR but so have other drivers. Thanks to recent events in other sports the sanctioning bodies are all running scared from this 'domestic violence" bullshit because the media whores need sensationalism for their stories and headlines. I used to love NASCAR racing and spent a lot of coin enjoying it but I'm done. NASCAR has been ruining the sport with rule changes the last several years and this incident is the final straw for me. I'll find something else to do on race days. Attendance and TV audiences have been shrinking and now I hope it continues.
