What is funny is that its true, I think the person who set the language stuttered just a little. What is really hard is when you ask someone on the phone for directions, when there done you get the correct spelling of the address and then go to map quest.
However
When you hear the Hawaiian language spoken it is kind to the ear, its not a harsh language like German or Russian, rather it kind of flows softly.

My father speaks some and can understand some when a mayan speaker talk to him but I can´t follow any of their conversation. Mayan languages are spoken by at least 6 million indigenous Maya, primarily in Guatemala, Mexico, Belize and Honduras

RiverI protest Russian language being called harsh :-p.
But yes, after hearing Hawaiian on youtube - it sounds strange, like it consists only of vowels.

and I also protest for German called that way. BTW the most horrible language is American English, it sounds like a conversation between miaowing cats and squaking ducks.

In 1921 Sapir referred to "the insinuating graciousness of Russian." No one who has heard Russian poetry would call it harsh.
В окна бьют без промаха
Вороны крылом
Как метель, черемуха
Машет рукавом.

I totally agree, why there are parts of America where proper English is not spoken at all but it is a language that is alive with thousands of words being added each year.

There had been a club group in Elko, NV back about 1970 called Evalani and Her South Sea Islanders. Now - I would dare any young and pre-castration guy to call their singing mush!
