Circumcision reduces transmission rates of HIV and certain STD's.

It has to do with the load of anaerobic bacteria that men have when uncircumcised and the lowered load of aerobic bacteria that results from circumcision. Exposure to oxygen is the key.

That still is no argument for cutting babies though, as babies don't have sex!

If so much "can wait for later in life", why on earth are some people in such a hurry to cut male babies' dicks?!

a) I had no choice in mine and have no kids. So I've never had to make a choice.

b) I have no preference of one over the other in bed. I enjoy both.

c) I refuse to take a position.

If you Google "circumcision and risk of STD" you will find the information that I referred to. . .

I do think that what happened to this child is atrocious and the person involved should be driven out of health care for malpractice.

There is no justification for a mistake like this.

Can you imagine the outcry if a new erection medication caused 1 out of a thousand men to lose their penis ? It would be banned immediately by the FDA and men would fear it greatly!
