Thanks for the good info Losethem. One of the reasons I may have to go with Crane is because he accepts medicare/medical. I am in southern california and am willing to work with any urologist or surgeon who accepts medicare. I am a little confused and unsure about the WPATH standards and if the state of california will pay for my castration as a M2E or perhaps I have to fudge it and present as simply "gender dysphoria" with the assumption the surgery would be part of a first step towards a sex chance. Interestingly, I have read that some people have been able to legally change their gender after simply castration, which I find interesting, given the face I wish to remain male in appearance.

Anyways I would appreciate any leads from anybody else here who might know of a eunuch friendly urologist or surgeon anywhere in california who might accept medicare. Please feel free to private message me.

I may have those leads soon. As I stated, I'm not willing to make a recommendation until I know of a person who has been successful and happy with that practice. The practice my friend is going to is also a gender transition clinic, so they are accustomed to California laws and practices. I'd assume if they take any insurances, they know how to deal with the insurance carriers/providers. If I recall correctly, California REQUIRES gender coverage of any company writing insurance in the state.

Yes, I guess according to the latest WPATH guidelines, M2E dysphoria SHOULD be covered, but there are still many doctors that require patients to be actually transexual and go on a year of hormones, etc. I start my online counseling tomorrow so a little nervous, but Dr. Peveller has dealt with many M2E patients, so I feel like my balls are in good hands so to speak, and hopefully in the hands of a skilled surgeon by the new year or sooner. 10 years ago I could never have imagined getting online therapy and being able to get an insurance-covered castration.
