Re: Support the Eunuch Archive
Hi Kristoff, I hope you are enjoying South Dakota. Is the treasure chest any closer to overflowing?

No further replies via pay pal. I spent last night in cody, Wyoming, and today in Yellowstone national park (old faithful wasn't very faithful and was disappointing). Tonight I am in Jackson, Wyoming. Tomorrow is the wedding. Leave Sunday for home. Expect to be there Tuesday night. Will check the mail box on Wednesday. Hope it is stuffed. Meanwhile, contributions may be sent to

Got home from Wyoming a day early. Checked the mail box this afternoon. We received a check from Michael in San Francisco. Thank you very much for your contribution.

From the Land of Enchantment to the Land of 10,000 Lakes (actually closer to 14,000), your mail has arrived. Retrieved it from the post office a bit ago. A very generous donation. We thank you very much!

Why are the numbers a secret in this thread? What level of money is involved in running a forum under the current circumstances?

Hosting on dedicated rack space costs money. For a forum as busy as this it demands grunt. I have communicated at length with Talula over the best options to get the most out of every $ to give a fast reliable system. It costs money. I donate what I can when I can and I know my occasional $100 is a drop in the ocean for the costs of this site. I look at this way.
The archive is an invaluable resource for many tormented souls looking to deal with whatever is driving them towards a eunuch lifestyle. We all come here with all sorts of baggage and the members here help to try and keep us safe and sane in what is a desperate journey. I for one would probably not be here still were it not for the help and support I have received both publicly and privately from the archive members over the years.
The archive is run by a handful of dedicated eunuchs with the balls to dip deeply into their own pockets to keep it going. It is not a business or there would be an elevated level of membership by subscription.
Personally, I wish I could give more, more often because there are people like me who have done crazy things in our desperation and they need support long after I am gone.
All anyone is asking is that people give what they can. How much do we value we we get out of having this oasis in a world that does not understand us?
Re: Support the Eunuch Archive
Remember, between the forums and the fiction archive, we get over 20 million hits a month. That is lots of bandwidth. We run on 7 virtual servers - they cost us over $108 per month. Add to that the costs of domains, server software licensing, vb licenses. postal box rental - $200 per year. There are other items that add in. Often times Talula or I will cover them, but the majority must come from the people who use this site or it will not be here.
Thus far, a small handful of dedicated members have contributed. We need many to do so. It does not matter if it is $10 or $50 or $100 - every bit helps. If you benefit from or enjoy this site, you should support it. We have had contributions that range all over the place, and each and every one of them is welcome and sufficient for that individual.
