yes! Don"t do this at home!!

Mine was done with a single center-line incision. Don't know that location made a difference - competence of the surgeon was the issue. Mine was passed competence a few years. Single incision seems to make as much sense to me as two.

I had two horizontal incisions done on me. The Dr was a board certified Urologist. It healed without incident.

It does matter to me. And who nominated smoothie36 to make the call on when it was time to end this thread? If you have an opinion, I hope you express it and ignore him, please!

Smoothie36, however many virtues he holds, does not make such decisions - he is merely expressing his opinion, as are we all. --FLO--

jcat (imported) wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2014 6:41 am As I discovered on my disastrous attempt with a central incision, my scrotum is incredibly thick at that point and i made a very nasty mess. When I stitched myself up and the scrotum started swelling up with blood I did start to get a little worried.

But my logical mind kicked in and I cut a small piece of silicon tube from my coffee machine and inserted a drain. This made the swelling go down and as i recall i had the drain in for a couple of weeks before the bleeding stopped and miraculously I healed with no infection.

I was in a very bad place mentally at the time, I was also very lucky.

The skin to the left and right is much thinner and therefore a better place to cut.

I did the centre to have one incision. Big mistake.

This explains the mess that Dr. Kimmel left me with. Everything is fine now, but my second urologist had quite a time fixing me up.
