It's sort of strange that in a Disney cartoon showing a nude boy with a penis would be considered an obscenity were as showing a nude nullo is perfectly OK.

Does a nullo need a fig-leaf?

I always wondered if Pinocchio got genitals when he was made a real boy.

😄🙄

No. Disney had censors. Any hint of actual genitalia would have landed Disney in deep trouble. As it was, in the centaur sequence, Disney originally had the females centaurs just as bare-breasted as the male centaurs, but the censors insisted that Disney put bras on the female centaurs. Realizing that bras on mythical creatures would result in something as ludicrous as a Fox News report, Disney opted for flowery garlands covering the celluloid breasts.

Disney used the same cherubic male pre-adolescents in his Water Babies animation later, ruining the original intent of that dark, Victorian work.

The Japanese version of Astro Boy was a nullo. They made it clear that he didn't have anything under those black speedos.

However the Americanized Astro Boy from the 2009 move was a complete male. In the American movie Astro doesn't even realize that he's a robot until several days after his creation. Until the time that he discovers he can understand robot talk and fly he thinks he's a human boy. Had he woken up that first morning and discovered he was a nullo it would have been a dead giveaway.

But hold on a second. This story is science fiction after all. I never considered this before but what if Toby, the boy Astro had been built to replace, had been a nullo? That would mean that Astro wouldn't have felt there was anything missing if he didn't have genitals.

Is that really so farfetched when we consider that Astro has 50 CAL. machine guns in his butt? When Astro offers you his butt he isn't being seductive. It's more like he has you in his cross hairs.

One of my biggest childhood worries was that Bob Barker would find Scooby Doo.

Another unanswered question was why characters like Porky Pig or Donald Duck had shirts, ties, hats, etc., but never pants.

Where did Huey, Dewy, & Lewie come from?

And later on, who the hell had sex with Goofy to produce Max?
