The first time I use my worldly knowledge and ended up in the upper mid west, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, but the second time I took it I answered from were I lived most of my life, Stockton, Sacramento, San Jose, so I would say its right.

I was waiting for the question of do you wash the car or waRsh the car, that would have pegged me as an Okie.

It said I was most like "Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento." Well, I lived for a year in Monterey... more than 30 years ago. No, I'd say it's off, probably needs some tweaking on the questions, for example, the question "How do you pronounce 'been' as in 'Where have you been?'" Of the choices I said with the same vowel as in the word "sit," the other choices were "see," and "set." Actually, when I say "Where have you been?" the vowel sound I use is NOT the same as any of the available choices, but the vowel in "sit" seems closest...

By the way, I am Arizonan, born and raised here, except for 23 dreadful years in the navy, I've lived all my life in Arizona.

I am sorry but I think my contribution coming from the UK has broken it- the program gave up the ghost when it tried to suggest a location. Oh well, at least the opportunity to wish everybody Happy Christmas Day!

The program put me in Northern Michigan. I have lived in Saint Paul most of my life, but I was largely raised on an island in Lake Superior. The Island has its own speech patterns and uses words found nowhere else - so close enough for me. --FLO--

I was born in Canada...Ontario and New Brunswick til the age of 14, then Brooklyn, then upstate NY for the last 28 years..It didn't give a specific town..but the red areas were Maine and Florida..Duh! Jackie

The map finally came up with Albuquerque (where I was born at) but then it showed Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky where I have never been to before. -Must be that western draw, I suppose (or else listening to Dolly sing). Actually it pointed out "frontage road". My least similar cities were Buffalo NY, Springfield MA, and Providence RI.

Just took the test again and I came up with Phoenix, Tucson and Fresno. With the least similar again being from the northeast: Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia.

-Just looked at the coloration of both maps and there is one region which is the most orange on both of them and that is the western Colorado area that spreads into eastern Utah and northern New Mexico regions.
