I agree, Ice Cream is something I want in the winter and the best Ice Cream is home made without all the crap that's in the commercial brands. However now that I am diabetic I will be eating less of it but still made with real sugar, cream, 1/2 and 1/2 and eggs.
However when I was a kid we always went to Baskin Robins 31 flavors of Ice Cream, home in Glendale Ca.
Note for brands east and west of the Mississippi River.
Hellmann's real mayo and Best Foods, same thing.

Not a lover of chocolate ice cream. Much prefer butter pecan. My problem is not the amount of sugar but the amount of fat in the ice cream. And WHO in their right mind limits themselves to one half cup of ice cream? Don't forget the syrup toppings and or fruit.

Raspberry sherbet -- the purple temptation for hell -- will one day kill me as I drown in vats and vats and vats of it.
Yes, I have dreams and desires and lusts ...
When I was a teenager, I visited an Aunt in Elizabeth New Jersey and the Ice Cream shop nearly created the richest, thickest and huge-ext milk shakes -- a full quart served in one glass. It was so thick that if you dipped the straw paper into it, you could blow the straw paper to the ceiling and it would stick. ANd the ultimate death-eating contest -- if you could drink three, they gave you the fourth free. I gained 8 pounds that summer.
Then there's the Sauerkraut for my neighbor's festival that I would so love to eat with kielbasi... Of course, I'd end up in Intensive Care with my allergies.
Klondike bars -- those milk chocolate covered bars of ice cream from the original Isaly's ... sigh, nevermore as the Raven said.
Dark chocolate covered nuts -- I know there is no Satan because he hasn't approached me to sell my soul for some dark chocolate covered nuts.
The last ice cream I ate was french vanilla. It's really my favorite. All brands, I'm not a connoisseur.
The worst was "ice milk" which was bland, tasteless and icy.

I am with you Dave, Vanilla. With Vanilla you can add any kind of topping and go anywhere or best just eat it plane.
