I just watched the pilot and I liked it but I think that Ichabod Crane should have reacted more to the technology of 2013. He was told that the headless horseman could not tolerate sunlight. I hope the TV series explores the headless horseman's reaction to very bright artificial light.
WHAT you want it to make sense?

Yes, I do.
Ichabod Crane said that he was sent to triage. It recently occurred to me that people in the colonies probably did not use the word triage in 1780. This is what my CDROM dictionary says:
tri·age (tr" äzhÆ), n., adj., v., -aged, ag·ing.
n.
1. the process of sorting victims, as of a battle or disaster, to determine medical priority in order to increase the number of survivors.
2. the determination of priorities for action in an emergency.
adj.
3. of, pertaining to, or performing the task of triage: a triage officer.
v.t.
4. to act on or in by triage: to triage a crisis.
[192530; < F: sorting, equiv. to tri(er) to sort (see TRY) + -age -AGE]
This is what Wikipedia says:
The term Triage may have originated during the Napoleonic Wars from the work of Dominique Jean Larrey.
The Napoleonic Wars started in 1803.

You can't trust Wikipedia to get any facts straight. The OED. second ed. vol. XVIII pg. 496b quotes an article from Chambers Cyclopaedia of 1727-1741 "If the triage be well made ...," so Ichabod Crane, if he were well read could very well have used triage, which already appears in French by the fourteenth century.

I hear that in one of the episodes that Justin Bieber is going to be one of the headless ones. HE will be called "The Headless Horse's ASS".
...in the mean time that strange whirring noise coming from the Hudson Valley is Washington Irving turning over in his grave. A cemetery caretaker claims that Mr. Irving will reach 50,000 RPM pretty soon...
...and has anyone else seen the "Horseless Head Man" in the commercial yet?

This is one of those shows that you watch and put your BRAIN and COMMON SENSE on suspend.
I didn't keep count of the inaccurate historical points because I was surprised there was a black heroine and a black chief of police (even though he acted too stupid to live--I look forward to his death).
I like these bizarre piles of contorted crap for at least a few episodes.

Second week... a mighty belch of donut holes and cop jokes.
This is a crock.
Every cheesy halloween/blood moon/apocalyptic/demonic horror cliche used to good measure.
It will be fun to watch but it's not good drama. Entertainment while playing Angry Birds or some solitaire.
Bloodlines, witches resurrecting, ashes of dead people, little kids in peril,
Yes, did you know that "little kids in peril" is a cliche?
Tell me, oh great wise man, why is that a cliche?
Because an adult character needs sympathy and creating a sympathetic character is time and $$$ in a tv show.
Kiddies are assumed innocent and always sympathetic.
Less work for the writer and less time on the screen.

I liked the abandoned tunnels under the city.
...And the witch coming back to life before being burned up again.
...although her wardrobe did not do a thing for her. She would have been more appealing in a large bath towel after a bath or maybe just the bath and then running naked
...that series needs a little more sexy-stuff in it? What about if the Deputy turned out to be a descendent of Sally Hemings (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sally_Hemings)?
