The pilot surprised me as "good".

Monday's episode did not hold my attention.

I suspect it wasn't very good.

The big difference between us moi, is I gave up on Terra Nova after about 10 minutes, and Revolution after 50minutes of the first show.

Some of us see the light quicker then others.

So?

Did any "Domie" find episode 2 as riveting as the pilot?

I want New Episodes of Terra Nova, not repeats. :(

Thanks for the heads up.

Where did that 17th Century ships bow sculpture come from?

Episode three and suddenly BIG JIM and the rest of the characters are showing their true colors.

That lady sheriff is a real badass...

I think I know what "pink stars falling" means from the book but what does it mean in the TV Show?

Too much social psychology and not enough science fiction.

Nobody has written a note on a piece of paper and put it up on the wall of the dome in an attempt to communicate with the "outside world" (or visa versa).

OK, the wall is somehow "permeable" so that we assume air, moisture can pass through, otherwise it would heat up in there like an oven in no time.

At the rate it is going, with people falling faster than sliced cows, there won't be anyone left to have a town, or a show.

Those aren't plot holes.

a) According to Stephen King, the DOME produces its own micro-climate, so that the "trapped" stuff can survive, and the trapped stuff can be watched and studied.

b) It is slightly permeable to water (Again, according to King)

c) and finally, the point that lots are dying -- well that might be called a spoiler if the TV show was faithful to the book.

as for writing on paper, I can't say why. Does anyone remember a scene on the show that has an observer on the outside looking into the dome? I don't. There are overheads and distance pictures but I don't remember conversations or scenes from outside the Dome.

Whether you like this or not it's just another sign that the networks are now fully engaged in competing with cable. No longer does the First of June mean three months of endless reruns even of shows that were canceled as they were not very good. Or, show cancelled shows that were great and you wonder why they were cancelled. Shows such as "The Sopranos" revealed that cable can and will make quality programming. I'm not certain of the order but I still have a copy of "Barbarians At The Gate", a great film whether in a theatre or on television.

Under The Dome

Managed to get through 2/3rds of DVR'ed last episode.

This is a really, REALLY bad series.

Trite, 2 dimensional, has all the depth of a puddle on flat concrete.

I do miss old Hollywood when they spent a dime on writers.

I cannot imagine Stephan King is satisfied with anything beyond his profits from this production.

The only thing I look forward to is Big Jim's psycho kid being squashed like a bug.

Please let me know if there is any reason to watch more of this disaster series.

This Ain't Even Back Ground TV

2) Maintenance TV

...

OF course it IS better than Celebrity Apprentice

It has more depth than HELL'S KITCHEN ...

It has better drama than third rate stars - DANCING WITH THE STARS

It has less nudity than SUMMER CAMP

It has more with than WILFRED (sorry wilfred fans, the idea of this show is (like the kids say) retarded)

It has a better reputation than BIG BROTHER (spies in the bathroom, look for the racist log and the bigoted pee)

And it is better than:

Even the goofy-assed Shark trilogy on SYFY channel (Sharknado, 2-Headed-Shark Attack, Shark Zone, Sharktopus, Sharkosaurus, Dinocroc versus Megasnake versus Possessed Wooly Mammoth, and Area 13, and EUREKA (that Archimedes should have sued over. I could hear him spinning in his grave)

All of those awful movies and shows are better than "reality" shows.
