Didn't the courts strike down the ban on "virtual child porn" (i.e. any child pornography that isn't real) earlier this year?

I was not referring to the legalities of publishing material. I was referring to the standards which most if not all publishers have concerning various aspects of erotica.

Ask for 'writer's guidelines' from a publisher (may have different guidleines for different imprints) and you will be surprised by the level of 'internal restraint' that is placed on writers particularly with regard to such topics as incest, bestiality, and underage interaction.

I have found Pink Flamingo to be very understanding but my overall impression is that even in the world of the publishers of erotica teenagers do not have sex. They are completely chaste and pure until they turn 18 and only then take off their clothes and fornicate.

Talk about fantasy! I am sure most parents wish such was actually the case.

But some how Nabakov was able to publish 'Lolita'. And the better example of course is Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'.

In a modern democracy, it is not the state or church that regulates behavior, but the culture in general. Censorship and oppression are deregulated and privatized, but they are still there!

I have posted the last chapter/segment of The Anguished E.

('Epilogue II- Tony' at 2:45 p.m. on 9/8/02)

I thank all of you for your patience. That's 50,000 words in 30 days. I CAN write faster but the quality tends to suffer.

Hope you have enjoyed the story.

Regards,

Chris Bellows

Hope you have enjoyed the story.

I have to catch up the last fourteen chapters since I've been on holiday for two weeks but I enjoyed it immensely so far.

Thank you for this great story.
