"Christopher Durang's comical 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,' won best play... It takes characters and themes from Anton Chekhov and sets them in present-day Pennsylvania

I expect that Richard Greenberg's 'The Assembled Parties,' which was nominated might hit the Public Theater first. It was nominated and is suppsed to be just as good.

And PIPPIN won something ... I saw the original production on Broadway with Ben Vereen (more years ago that I would care to admit)

KINKY BOOTS won best musical. I"ve seen the movie it must be a real adventure onstage with music.

THere's a Pittsburgher in Kinky Boots. He won an award, too.
