Since Uncle Mackie is farming-illiterate, he could very well have meant "bushes."

Yes Jesus how true, we must remember that Mac the Wolf is an aged (thats real old) historian and as such they don't get out much preferring to stay in with dusty OLD books.

I have been told by a very reputable stoner that the marijuana plant when left to grow and grow, takes a conical shape like a Christmas tree and at the base, the main stem is hollow and thick enough to bore out a bowl to smoke the leaves after harvesting.
What a wonderful plant!

OK when it comes to farming I'm a rookie at best. Started reading on forums how to grow quinoa and 2 days ago I soaked some germinated NON GMO seeds in water for 30 min and dried them off(repeating this twice) and placed the soaked seeds in a glass jar with a open ended funnel to be left in an extremely dark place.(closet)
OMG the seeds started sprouting roots!!!!!!, I just planted them in a large plastic basin to witness they're progress. I sure hope this project doesn't end up in fail.

They were passing out free marijuana in downtown Denver last weekend.
